Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—was recently recognized by the city government of Muntinlupa as one of its ten biggest corporate taxpayers.
Last March 1, Muntinlupa City commemorated the 27th anniversary of its cityhood. Alongside the celebration, the city government also honored the top corporate taxpayers, including PCPPI.
“We are honored to receive the Top Ten Taxpayer recognition from Muntinlupa local government unit (LGU). PCPPI has always been committed to fulfilling its obligations and dues despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city government of Muntinlupa can expect that PCPPI will continue to adhere to it responsibilities as good corporate citizens,” said PCPPI president and chief executive officer Frederick D. Ong.
Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi awarded a plaque of recognition to PCPPI, represented by its Chief Legal and Government Affairs Officer, Atty. Carina Bayon, during the ceremony. The local chief executive commended the Company’s “very important role in the local government’s implementation of programs and provision of services.” The awarding was held at the Muntinlupa Sports Center led by the mayor and other city officials.
