John Clarkin acquired a franchise to bottle Pepsi in the Philippines. He consequently founded Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of the Philippine Island Ltd. and became President and General Manager.
1947

The company imported Pepsi beverages from the USA for a year until the first bottling plant was established in Quezon City.
1957
1957 - 1957
Clarkin returned to the USA and PepsiCo International(PCI) took over Pepsi's operation in the country.
1979
1979 - 1981
The company flourished under PCI’s administration. Pepsi dominated the Philippine market with a share of more than 60%. The success was mainly fueled by an aggressive marketing program dubbed “Have a Pepsi Day” and the launch of Mountain Dew.

The company became a branch of PepsiCo's New York office in 1983 and was renamed PepsiCo Inc. (Philippine Branch).
1985

The group named Pepsi-Cola Distributors of the Philippines, Inc. led by Escalers, acquired the franchising and bottling rights and officially made the company a Filipino corporation.

Luis Lorenzo Sr. and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Retirement, Separation , and Benefits System (AFP-RSBS) through their group, Premier Beverages, assumed majority ownership of Pepsi Philippines Inc. They gave it a new name: Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI).

Under the Lorenzos, PCPPI introduced the plastic bottle - the first of its kind in the industry and produced it’s first in-house brand, Premier bottled water.

Guoco Holdings (Philippines) Inc., a Hong Kong-based Holdings company, assumed majority ownership of PCPPI.

PCPPI introduced non-carbonated beverages (NCBs) to the market. PCPPI launched Tropicana.

PCPPI launched Gatorade.

PCPPI won PepsiCo’s Best Bottler of the Year for Asia. PCPPI launched Lipton.

PCPPI launched Sting.

PCPPI was officially enlisted, with its initial public offering at the Philippine Stock Exchange.

Lotte Chilsung Beverage Co. Ltd. became the single largest shareholder of PCPPI with 34.4% shares.

PCPPI won the 2012 PepsiCo’s Bottler of the Year for Asia-Pacific Region. Simultaneously, PCPPI was invited to sit as honorary guest to the PepsiCo’s Chairman’s Circle, an international exclusive group in PepsiCo.

PCPPI built a new state-of-the-art bottling facility in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, solidifying PCPPI’s presence in the Southern Tagalog Region.

PCPPI diversified into snacks with the operation of the production facility in Cabuyao, Laguna from 2016 to 2019.

PCPPI launched Aquafina.

One of the firsts, PCPPI provided access to clean water thru its “Water for Peace in Marawi” program. The company turned over a 50,000 liter tank servicing 1,000 affected families and 40,000 Internally Displaced People (IDPs). Communites received hydration, sanitation, and hygiene water provisions thru this effort.

PCPPI, on June 7, 2021 inaugurated its new home in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
