We, at Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI), stand firm in our commitment to prioritize the health and well-being of our people, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since PCPPI is a company engaged in the business of Manufacturing and Distribution of Basic Commodities—such as water, hydration drinks, and other beverages—PCPPI is tasked to continuously operate our manufacturing plants to be able to produce and deliver our products to areas that would need them most.
With this, to ensure the safety of our employees, the Company initiated the formation of the Contingency, Crisis and Risk Management Committee (CCRM) to work on the Business Continuity plan of PCPPI.
As we would need the services of some of our people to heed the call of the government to ensure that basic commodities, including some of our products, are delivered and made accessible to the Filipino people, PCPPI implemented various flexible work arrangements. Foremost of this is our work-from-home arrangements made available to employees. We closed some plant in select areas at the onset of the enhanced community quarantine as called upon us by the government, and we made use of a skeletal workforce to support only select line operations. This is still in keeping with our commitment to deliver high-quality products to our countrymen at this difficult time.
These efforts are coupled with continuous health advisories to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of our people. Given the dynamic nature of the “Enhanced Community Quarantine”, PCPPI constantly monitors the situation and provides immediate guidance across the business for any changes arising from government advisories or orders. The Company remains compliant with all labor and other government guidelines that cover PCPPI operations. Lastly, we want to assure everyone that we are providing for the needed safety, healthcare and employee benefits to our people and taking extra measures to keep our workplaces, plants, and various offices safe and clean.
In these trying times, PCPPI is one with the nation in its efforts to keep the Filipinos healthy and stop the spread of the virus to save lives.
